I had a pleasure to host another photographer at the studio… I personally know how hard it is to be in front of camera when all you do is take pictures of other people. It would seem so easy… You know how to pose, you know lighting basics, you know what you are supposed to do… But, where does it all go when the lens is focused on you? I guess it’s like that story about those who can do and teach… Well, it is a different story with Ms. K. She was a natural in front of the camera and being a photographer, had a couple of cool ideas for her shoot. One of them included a fog machine, which I proudly own
. I absolutely love this shot, and it inspired me to create a new slogan for my I see Sexy website, which you’ll be able to see a bit later (shhhhh…;). Enjoy this teaser…
On the side note, I LOVE modern and I LOVE Vintage. I absolutely love the eclectic feel of both… It is so easy to cross that line to become either cheesy or irrelevant. I am glad that the era of overusing harsh sepia tones is over, sometimes it fits, and a lot of times it doesn’t. Hint for photographers: IF you like Sepia and are using the actions to achieve it for your vintage feel picture, reduce the opacity or desaturate it a bit, it will look far more natural and pleasing for others’ eyes. Also, there is a cool shortcut key for blending/fading any adjustment you perform in Photoshop without the need to use another layer. Try it, and you might like it, if you didn’t know: command+shift+f on a mac or control+shift+f on a PC. I like to use it when I feel that I might have went too far with my levels, toning, curves etc… I hope it helps somebody
LOVE to all,
Olga
